My friend and I would always log in the dating websites using different log in names as part of our fun trip. Those dating websites contains a lot of information that makes me and my friend have a good laugh. I do not believe people who would really take dating websites as a serious means of finding partner. From what I know, people use dating websites to find possible people who are not serious and therefore would just interested in fling or short lived relationships.

Well, I had a cousin who actually had an experience having a boy friend who was a product of the dating websites. I do not know if it was pure innocence of stupidity of her to have thought of considering that she will ever get something serious in a high probability. She and the person she met over the Internet dating site had an eye ball. She was really excited about it. But what she hopes to be fun and romantic turned out to be a nightmare. The guy was a maniac, he caress my cousin in her arm that did not only surprise my cousin but caused her to react violently. She gave a big slap in the face her date and stomp out of the restaurant crying. I was really laughing out laud when she related that story to me but I felt a pang of guilt as tears start pouring from her eye. Poor girl, she really did not get it.

I told her that the best way to meet a guy is go out and socialize. She cannot expect guys registering at the dating website to be that serious. Well, I do not want to stereotype but I guess the probability of getting a prankster or someone who are psychologically unstable is high.

I guess my cousin took my advise seriously. Never did she tried using the dating websites and was actively socializing not for the sake of finding a date but to expand her horizon as a human being.

That is also the reason why after hearing my cousin's story I told my friend that we should stop making fun of people in the dating site. Because I realize that there are serious people out there who are using the sites as well. After seeing my cousin cry, I told myself that it is not good playing with the emotions of other people.
