Let me tell you about the night I fell in love with my wife Kelly. I had been dating single L.A. women for two years and had become tired of the single life. I hated that jittery feeling of a first date and decided that it was time to look for a girl that I could take home to my mom and dad. I wanted a wife that was very much like my mom, my mom and dad have a super relationship, they fell in love on their first date and have been together over 30 years. I was determined to find the same thing for myself.

So we met through a mutual friend and went out on our first date to a Celine Dion concert. It may sound a bit corny but we had talked on the phone and had both confessed our great love for Celine. We got to the packed theatre in perfect time and spent 2 hours listening the the most beautiful music. The show was fabulous and Kelly was so happy to have gotten to see the great show that she gave me a huge kiss on the way out. It took us about an hour to navigate our way out of the parking area but the entire time we chatted and laughed. The show had been the perfect ice breaker for us.

After leaving there we went out for a late night dinner and spent the next two hours talking away. It felt like we had always know each other, and when the waiter told us they were closed we were surprised to find we were the only ones left in the place. We said our apologies to the staff and took off for a walk on the pier. There we held hands and walked around till we finally had to admit it was time to go home.

That first night I knew Kelly would be my wife. The way she had laughed and cried and sang at the show showed me what a wonderful open woman she was. I knew then that I wanted to spend my life with her. We went out for 6 months before I proposed and now 5 years later we are still very much in love. And yes, we still love Celine Dion and will watch her shows when she is in our area.
